第三十三期 praying mantis 28/01/2019

Hello everyone. I am going to introduce a kind of creature to you guys. This creature has extremely high attacking speed and also extremely good hiding skills. They hide in the bush, waiting for a unlucky guy to walk pass, and attack with every thing they've got. What are they? 

They are praying mantises.

These killing machine 's attacking speed could be incredibly fast. They can finish the killing in 0.05 seconds and more importantly, everything could be their pray. Their pray could be as small as an ant, or it could be as big as a bird. Who knows what they can't eat! 

In the other hand, they are also very good hiders in nature. Their natural protection colour can perfectly help them get involved with the environment. For example, the Hymenopus coronatus, a kind of praying mantis which looks like orchid very much, hide with orchids to let their predators find hard to find them. This is what it looks like:

You might say it is so easy to find, but I am pretty sure that you are not going to find them in a big cluster of orchids.
