      伫倚危楼风细细，望极春愁，黯黯生天际。草色烟光残照里，无言谁会凭阑意。

      拟把疏狂图一醉，对酒当歌，强乐还无味。衣带渐宽终不悔，为伊消得人憔悴。

【注释】

1)伫（zhù）倚危楼：长时间倚靠在高楼的栏杆上。伫，久立。危楼，高楼。

2)望极：极目远望。

3)黯黯（ànàn）：沮丧忧愁。

4)残照：落日余晖

5)生天际：从遥远的天边升起。

6)烟光：飘忽缭绕的云霭雾气。

7)会：理解。

8)阑：同“栏”。

9)拟把：打算。

10)疏狂：狂放不羁。

11)强（qiǎng）乐：勉强欢笑。强，勉强。

12)还（huán）：反而，却。

13)衣带渐宽：因相思而消瘦，衣服都显得肥大了。

14)伊：他/她，伊人，多指女性，这里指深爱的人。

15)消得：值得。

16)词人把漂泊异乡的落魄感受，同怀念意中人的缠绵情思结合在一起写，抒情写景，感情真挚。

[白话译文】

伫立高楼，微风拂面，极目远望，不尽的春日愁思，黯然弥漫天际。夕阳斜照，草色蒙蒙，默默凭倚栏杆，谁能理解我的心意？

本想纵情一醉，歌声中举起酒杯，却感到勉强求乐兴味全无。我日渐消瘦也不觉得懊悔，为了深爱的人我情愿一身憔悴。

【英译】

    For a long time I stand in the tall house,the spring breeze brushing against my face. I gaze into the distance , a mood of melancholy descending on me and the whole horizon.

  At sunset the grass looks misty and dim. Silently I lean against the railings thinking a lot, and nobody can understand my feelings.

    I meant to indulge in singing and drinking ,yet I feel that forcing myself to be cheerful spells little interest.

    I don’t regret becoming much thinner,my clothes hanging loose ,as my beloved girl is worth expecting even though I’ll pine away for the sake of her
