Summary:

Ignoring messages is frowned upon in these always-on times and "ghosting" is condemned as a deadly sin, the most egregious(extremely bad) thing.

Nowadays people are overburdened with so many things,so we should let go of those ceaseless back-and-forth conversations. Triaging can be a reasonable way to handle this problem,but we still have to establish boundaries upfront with our colleagues.

We are putting the pressure on,not others.

Immediate response isn't that necessary.

Most of time,I will ignore those unimportant messages based on the urgency.Sometimes,if you respond so immediate,then you will get into a ceaseless talk.Maybe around this time you are doing a task which needs your attention fully involved.

When I get my available time, I will text the message carefully. That's the whole point. It's not about how fast you are, but how careful you are.
