Father-in-law tried to persuade me to change the name of my son, again.

He said that my son was becoming stupid now. In his opinion, that was the result of using the name, Ken.

I tried to argue with him, but my Cantonese is not good enough to state my thought clearly, so I gave up arguing with him.

I came into the room and wrote a letter to him, telling him the reason why we didn't change the name.

I gave the letter to him with the hope that after reading the letter, he would understand us.

However, to my surprise and depression, he didn't read the letter!

He was too stubborn to hold the view that only his opinions count.

I was disappointed and knew why he fails in his life, while his brother became a successful businessman. The reason is that he is too stubborn to hear anyone's opinion!

At that time I understood why CM never trying to argue with him. Because he knew his father very well and he always knows that he will never change his mind.

OK, I decided at that time not to argue with him again.
