The word are can be reduced  simply to the shawa [ər] sound。

单词are在“What are you doing?”中可以不发[ɑr]，而是发一个很弱的[ər]。

My friend has seen it twice.                             
He'll come at six or six thirty.                             
How about tomorrow?
