故事如下：

Mary was a poor girl .she was born in a needy family .

When she was 3 years old , her parents passed away , left her alone .She was adopted by a rich family , but she felt no affinity with them , because they treated her terrible . She was exploited to do endless housework since she was 6 years old .She always felt lamentable when she saw other children play  .They were boisterous and happy , she wanted to join them ,but they were pompous and pitiless to her . So she always go to the mountains to relax . 

Oneday , she went to the mountain again ,  when she sat on the gress , something stuck her hap , she stood up  immediately , to her surprise , it was a sparkle diamond ! she knew diamond has an abiding beauty that never fades . She decided to sell it out  , then take the money , leave  this place   .

She took the diamond to the store , When she gave it the boss , he looked it carefully , then he refused to buy , because there was a speck inside the diamond  , he also deplored her a liar .she was shocked and grievous,  she didn't deserve the reproof , and left despairately .

Maybe everything would be OK when she grows up .
