J.K. Rowling to Release New Children's Book "The Ickabog"

J.K. Rowling is making her return to children's literature for a good cause.
J.K. 罗琳将重返儿童文学领域，原因非常正能量。
In a blog post published on her website Tuesday, the author announced that she will release a new story called The Ickabog, releasing new chapters weekly to help distract children in lockdown as a result of the novel coronavirus.
本周二，罗琳在其网站上发布博文，宣布她即将发表新书，名为《The Ickabog》。她将每周发布新的章节，以帮助因新冠疫情隔离在家的孩子们转移注意力。
The author explained that she formulated the idea for her new story while writing Harry Potter, and had the intent of publishing it after releasing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — the new story is not connected to Potter.
罗琳解释说，在撰写《哈利·波特》时她就已经构思好了这个故事，并打算在发表完《哈利·波特与死亡圣器》之后将这个故事出版——新书不属于《哈利·波特》系列。
"Over time I came to think of it as a story that belonged to my two younger children, because I'd read it to them in the evenings when they were little, which has always been a happy family memory," she wrote.
她在博文中写道：“随着时间流逝，我渐渐把它当作专门写给我的两个小孩的故事，因为在他们小的时候，我晚上会读给他们听，这一直以来都是一段美好的家庭回忆。”
However, amid the novel coronavirus, the author decided she wanted to publish her story free, "for children in lockdown."

She will post new chapters every weekday between May 26 and July 10 on the Ickabog website.
从5月26日起至7月10日，在此期间内，罗琳将于每个工作日在Ickabog网站上发布新的章节。
The Ickabog will be published in November 2020 in English in print, eBook and audiobook formats.
新书将在2020年11月用英文以实体书、电子书和有声读物的形式出版。
Hoping to offer some relief to those affected by the pandemic, Rowling announced that, when the book is published, she will pledge all author royalties to those impacted by the virus crisis.
为了给受新冠疫情影响的人们一点慰藉，罗琳宣布，她将把出版这本书的所有版税捐给受疫情打击的人。
