这个词在近几章里出现了非常多次，本意是投入、跳进，不同位置语义稍有不同。

林语堂很喜欢用它来修饰country，在13章是第一次用它来修饰人——苏东坡。
3. Shoot up 暴涨、迅速成长
短语动词。根据我所查到的数据，在做暴涨的意思是，形容数据比较多。此外，还有射击意思。

最新一期的晓说里，就提到了爱尔兰苦难时期诞生了很多大文学家，后来和平了，再也没有了。而处于水深火热中的拉美，接替了爱尔兰的文学命运，开始产生文豪。或许这就是个规律？苦难让人深刻？

生活中何尝不是呢？大家都不愿意做好小事，即使认识到了一些问题，也觉得无所谓而执行力跟不上。疏不知细节决定成败这句话有多真理，小事都做好了，大事也就成了。因为大事是小事量变引起的质变。
