窗外倾盆雨，

It’s raining cats and dogs outside the window

地上哗哗水，

The water is splashing on the ground

庭中花綠树，

Drenching the blossoms and green trees in the courtyard

伊人远去，

My beloved one is gone so far

朝朝暮暮，

From morning to night

相思缕缕。

My yearning for you is endless

只要天长地久，

As long as our mutual feelings

两情脉脉，

Can last forever

不管身何处。

No matter where you are

待归来，

When you come back

灯前细语，

We can whisper by lamplight

欢颜斟酒，

Filling the cups happily

交杯再举。

And drinking cross-cupped wine again

终不负，

We must live up to each other's affection

天上人间

In heaven and on earth

牛郎织女。
