TV Centre Layout Changes

The maps below show the changes to a particular TV centre.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two maps illustrate the transformation in the layout of a television centre over a decade, comparing its structure ten years ago with the present-day arrangement.

Ten years ago, the TV centre was organised with a reception area at the southwest corner, adjacent to clothing rooms. Moving east, there were three offices (Office 1, 2, and 3) and a canteen nearby. The studio and dress store were centrally located, with a records room and waiting area towards the east. The customer service room and make-up room were positioned at the northeast corner. A car park occupied the southern part, while trees were planted along the eastern boundary.

Today, the layout has undergone notable changes. The clothing rooms and reception remain in the southwest, but the canteen and offices have been reorganised. Office 1 and Office 2 are now grouped together, while Office 3 has been moved to the southeast. The studio and dress store remain central, but the records room has been relocated next to the studio. The customer service room and make-up room are unchanged. The car park still occupies the southern part, but the eastern trees have been removed, and the area is now part of the car park's expansion.

Overall, the TV centre has streamlined its office spaces and expanded parking facilities, reflecting functional adjustments over the past decade.
