『Three Thai politicians, eager to attract publicity, got the wrong kind of headlines after they were thrown from an elephant they were riding to register their candidacy for the general election. Chanchai Kijprasert, Jarin Saiwan and Pichai Konthongern fell eight feet (2.4 meters) after the pachyderm panicked on seeing traffic and bolted, throwing off its passengers, Thai newspapers reported.
