学习中高级英语，理解英文含义是关键。

拿到一篇文章，首先要掌握主旨大意。通读全文，查阅新词，一定要用双语词典看原版英文解释。交替进行直到理解文章主旨。

选择新4最后一篇，因为我觉得把最难的搞通了，望前面去每一课都是容易的。

含义和词汇

这一课词汇特别丰富，不是生词特别多，而是应用特别灵活。所以搞定词汇，对于理解作者的意思非常重要。

通读后，了解到中心意思：死刑是过于严重的量刑。同情是出于道义的勇气，和追求真实和公平一样。同情是出于对鲜活生命的尊重。死刑对于阻止犯罪没有作用。死刑的流程冗长，行为野蛮，不是文明手段。
