Ryuichi Sakamoto and His Music  

Ryuichi Sakamoto is my favorite contemporary musician.  I love the experimental ideas in his music.

In his young age, he was quite fashionable and radical, and he wrote electronic music. Later he was trying to compose some soundtracks for films, such as the first movie in which he was acted named 'Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrnce'. But film music is just a tiny part of his history. Apart from this, he is also good at using various different elements into his music piece. In other words, he is a genius musician who are able to improvising freely. He used to said that only electronic music and national music would be the best music form in the future when he was in 1970s.

Besides a composer, he is also a pianist. Quite a number of piano works of him were very popular and he take them to his world tour, like 'energy flow ', 'self portrait ' and so on. Recently he focused himself in environmental problems, hence wrote some music on this topic for arouse people's attention.

Last year, Ryuichi Sakamoto was diagnosed with throat cancer. After that, he put focus on his health, and still kept working.
