Ever in my life have I sought thee with my songs.
我的一生
都在用诗歌
来追寻你
It was they who led me from door to door,
and with them have I felt about me,
searching and touching my world.
是它们
引领着我
走遍千家万户
与它们一起
我感知着自己
探索和触摸着
我的世界
It was my songs that taught me all the lessons I ever learnt;
they showed me secret paths,
they brought before my sight
many a star on the horizon of my heart.

教会了我
所有学过的课程
是它们
将神秘的路径
指引给我
把我心灵地平线上
漫天星辰
都带到
我的眼前
They guided me all the day long
to the mysteries of the country of pleasure and pain,
and, at last, to what palace gate have the brought me
in the evening at the end of my journey?
是它们
整日指引着我
走向快乐与痛苦的
神秘王国
而最终
在我生命之旅的
最后一夜
它们又将把我带到
怎样的
宫殿门口？
