Money -- GDYCS 311th Regular Mee

Moneywas the Table Topic of the 311th regular meeting.

Melanie was the TOM in this meeting.

Curly, the Treasure of GDYCS, was the timer.

 Evelyn, a guest, was ah-counter.

Jingxue Luo, a guest,  played as the grammarian. She suggested that we use the word appreciate to express our gratitude.

Aimee was the general evaluator.

Esther shared us a joke. It's a conversation between Xiaoming and his parents. Xiaoming is a naughty and smart boy.

Roben hosted the table topic section. The theme was money.

Emma believed we should devote more love to our parents with money. She got some money for doing housework when she was kid.

Jingxue tried to negotiate for a pay rise and avoid being fired.

James thought that spending money is more important than earning it.

Peter discussed how much money would be enough to support an aerage life in Guangzhou.

Coco imagined about how much money would be needed for retirement.

Annabella imagined whethe she would pay  to extend her life for ten years more.

Wendy recalled her memeory about spending her first salary.

Nicole, the VPM of GDYCS, evaluated the table topic section. She grouped the table topic speakers into differents types. Some of them gave reasons and some share their experience. All speakers were brave!

Stephanie, a 7-year-old girl delivered a speech on her princess dream.

Leo shared us a prepared speech on his travelling. Obey the rules

Kenny evaluated his speech. He suggested Leo to lesson unnecessary pauses.

David Li, the division director, shared us his experience in toastmasters. He was elected to be an officer and won the runner-up in Chongqing Conference in May. He recommended us a TED talk called Your body language shapes who you are by Amy Cuddy.

Evelyn grouped the speakers into several categories. Some of them had no ahs in their speeches. Some spoke one or two unnecessary repeated words.

Jingxue pointed out the shinning points first. Then she summarized some excellent good usages and gave some improvement suggestions.

At the end, Aimee gave us some highlights and suggestions.
