In the beginning, David was raised from a Shepherd to a King. But human errs, he committed crime when he saw Bathsheba was beautiful. As a King, he slept with Bathsheba,even though he knew that she was Uriah’s wife. What’s worse, he plotted a scheme to kill Uriah, who is a righteous man. Thus David displeased God and God punished him by letting the boy born to him die.

David is one of the greatest King in history, yet he still sinned against God. Sinners are never unpunished no matter whoever they are.
