Some experts suppose that when a country is already rich, any additional increase in economic wealth does not make its citizens happier. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

as a social rapid social development, some developed countries are already wealthy and some residents in those countries assert that extra economic growth is not entwined with the happiness of their citizens. From my perspective, although increasing economy has less impact on nobilities in rich country, it contributes positively to more ordinary citizens.

To start with, there exist tons of luxurious products which are not affordable for general public even in rich country which can improve the happiness and life quality of them. For example, the expense of some state-of-the-art medical equipments which can help check and cure some sophisticated illness like caner is very high, which means most of citizens whose salary is in average level have to give up this treatment due to heavy financial burden. However, if economy continues to grow constantly, in the course of time the cost of pricey medical treatment will drop. As a result, increasing number of people can be delighted by enjoying the cutting-edge technology to keep them health.

In addition, there is a lamentable fact that even in rich country, some people still can hardly find a job in a background of a sluggish economy. Their life quality is not as decent as the normal people in developed country who are able to live comfortably and raise a family with a job. Furthermore, the high unemployment rate can give rise to increase the level of associated crime so that it inevitably declines the happiness level of the society as a whole. Therefore, more job opportunities generated by the strong economic growth expected by the jobless has a positive impact not only on the unemployed people but also to the whole society.

Admittedly, some opponents argue that it is hard for the elite in rich country to be more joyful with the extra economic wealth since they are too wealthy to worry about material needs. The loving personal relationships and spiritual paths are the major things to fill them with more happiness. However, this conclusion can only suit a very small range of people. For more ordinary citizens, devoid of the economic development will affect their lives negatively and severely.

In a nutshell, additional raise of economy always is an indispensable part of making citizens more pleasant whether the country is rich or not.
