今天和大家分享几个很实用的习语。

① 在生活中，有的人觉得自己很完美，他们可能会说：

I am the picture of perfection.

我非常完美。

the (very) picture of 是…的化身，非常像…

I am the picture of perfection.

“我是完美的化身”也就是“我非常完美”的意思了。

②自认为很完美的人有时候不免会自以为是，自视甚高：

full of oneself 自以为是，自视甚高

Jim is so full of himself; he thinks he is smarter than everyone.

Jim 很自以为是，他觉得自己最聪明了。

③自以为是的人总喜欢用批判的眼光看待周围的人和事：

read sth with a critical eye 以批判的眼光审视某事

He read the passage with a critical eye.

他用批判的眼光来看这段文字。

④被人挑剔时是很难受的：

stick in one's craw 令人生气的，难以接受的

What's sticking in your craw about them.

他们什么事让你如此生气？
