2020-10-02 Turn your thoughts in
To automate these new thoughts, you must put them on repeat. This means you need to turn each one into a mantra. Write it down on a Post-It Notes and tape it to your computer. Record yourself saying it again and again, and listen to your own voice.
Whenever you can, remind yourself of this new truth. Repetition was key to embedding the original thought in your mind. That same consistency will embed the new one, too.
Share what you’re doing and how you’re trying to change with your friends, your family, and even your online community. This will not only open you up to words of encouragement and insight from others, it will also hold you accountable.
The more people shift the way they think about you, the more you’ll find it easier to change the way you think about yourself.
