翻译中常见的易错点（五）

本期我们将介绍在翻译工作中遇到语法运用不准确的问题。众所周知，语法是一个庞杂的类目。今天我们就翻译中语法出错频繁的几个点与大家分享。

语法准确性

中文、英文译文中都不允许出现语法错误（使用Chrome浏览器可以检查英文语法错误），具体类别如下所示：

1. 时态错误

原文：去年，公司举办了…

错误译文：Last year, the company holds…

正确译文：Last year, the company held…

原文：12月23日上午，在项目现场举行了隆重的验收运营发电仪式。

错误译文：On the morning of December 23, a grand acceptance and operation ceremony is held at the project site.

正确译文：On the morning of December 23, a grand acceptance and operation ceremony was held at the project site.

2. 词组搭配错误

原文：会议由董事长主持。

错误译文：The meeting was presided by the chairman of Board of Directors.

正确译文：The meeting was presided over by the chairman of Board of Directors.

3. 主谓搭配（单复数）错误

原文：公司举办了…

错误译文：The company hold…

正确译文：The company holds…

原文：故障和风险是不可避免的。

错误译文：The fault and risk is inevitable.

正确译文：The fault and risk are inevitable.

原文：刚才王董提到的行为风险，确实也是我们在做内控测试时关注的重点。

错误译文：The behavioral risks Director Wang mentioned is indeed a key part we pay attention to in doing internal test.

正确译文：The behavioral risks Director Wang mentioned are indeed a key part we pay attention to in doing internal test.

4. 主被动错误 

原文：这几种情况都要考虑。

错误译文：All these conditions shall consider.

正确译文：All these conditions shall be considered.

5. 垂悬结构 

原文：按下该按钮后，机器即可开始运转。

错误译文：After pressing this button, the machine starts run.

正确译文：After this button is pressed, the machine starts to run.

解析：该句的从句省略了主语，而从语法上讲，只有当主句主语与从句主语一致时，才能省略从句的主语，但该句的主句主语（machine）和从句主语（人）不一致，因此不能省略从句的主语。

6. 中式英语（字面翻译）

原文：水管材料采用不锈钢。

错误译文：Water pipe material adopts stainless steel.

正确译文：Water pipe is made of stainless steel.

解析：水管材料不能发出adopt的动作，且原译文中的Water pipe material和stainless steel不应是adopt的关系，而应是is的关系。原文的意思是：水管材料采用的是不锈钢材料，即水管材料是不锈钢，或水管由不锈钢材料制成，故而可翻译为：Water pipe is made of stainless steel.
