《Crazy Rich Asians》is nowhere close to tradition

The firsted movie casted all by Asian from Hollywood ever since the successful and profounding movie 《Xi Fu Hui》, 《Crazy Rich Asians》caught my attention immediately under such advertisement. As a big fan of 《Xi Fu Hui》I entered the cinema to watch it without a second thought, though I haven't properly watched a movie for almost a year.

Here are what I ended up getting after spending 2 hours in the cinema:

- What takes to be an entry level Cinderella in current days?

- A professor from NYC.

- You think rich people are as happy as you can imagine?

- No. Their happiness is way beyond your imagination.

- Where is the identity crisis part in this movie which is supposed to be important?

- Please, it is more western than《Captain America》.

Which makes all the comparison with《Xi Fu Hui》a total joke, it is nowhere close to Asian or Chinese tradition.  Calling it a typical Hollywood movie is also exaggerating because at least you see glamorous clothes in Hollywood ones. This one is a total popcorn movie coverred under Asian skin which is trying so hard to use all the hook to keep you away from walking out.

No shining part at all? Emm... Michelle Yeoh is a real star which you just couldn't resist. Other than that I couldn't list anything else.
