Dialogue 3
A: Good afternoon. What can I do for you?
B: I’d like to check in please. I have a reservation under the name Anthony Roberts.
A: All right R.O.B.E.R.T.S... Oh, Mr. Roberts we’ve been expecting you… and here is your keycard to the presidential suite.
B: But there must be some mistake; my reservation was for a standard room.
A: Are you sure? Let me double check .
B: Yeah…Here, this is my confirmation number. You’re right Mr. Roberts, there seems to be a mix up, unfortunately we’re overbooked at the moment .
B: So…
A: Not to worry. We’re pleased to offer you a complimentary upgrade.
B: Presidential suite baby!
Okay,next part is 重点句型，单词的讲解^_^
1.What can I do for you?我能够帮你做些什么呢？
相信很多人都知道这个表达，经常在餐厅，酒店或者其它服务场所都会有服务员这样问顾客，表示一种礼貌的询问。所以当我们想要帮助他人时，也可以问 what can I do for you?
2.check in 登记入住
check in 有很多意思，比如“登记，报到，办理手续”。经常是在办理入住酒店，登机等报到场所需要用到的一个表达。
e.g. Passengers with hand luggage can go straight to the departure gate to check in there.
携带手提行李的乘客可直接到登机口办理登机手续。
当然了，有check in,那就少不了 check out,就是与之相反的退房手续，结账离开的意思。
e.g. They packed and checked out of the hotel...
他们收拾好东西，办理了退房手续。
但在口语会话中，它可以和句子中的宾语搭配使用，组成 “check something out” 或 “check out something” 的结构，意思是 “去看看、去了解一下”，表示到一个从没去过的地点看看或去了解一个新事物的情况。
e.g. Do you want to check out that new restaurant? I haven't been before.
你想去试试那家新餐厅吗？我还没去过呢。
3. I have a reservation under the name Anthony Roberts
我有预定的，名字是Anthony Roverts.
Reservation=booking——预定；Under the name——以……的名字。当你已经提前在网上预定好要进行入住登记时，就可以表达 I have a reservation under the name...——我有预定，名字是……不过现在应该通常都是网上直接购买了，到店出示身份证或者护照就行。
4.presidential suite 总统套房
顾名思义就是很豪华的套房，再看看对话下面有一个standard room 标准间，你看看这个是room,人家可多有钱，是suite啊。而这位兄台真的是三生有幸能够遇到这样的好事。
涉及到酒店房型，我们来看看还有什么：
标准房 Standard Room 高级房 Superior Room 豪华房 Deluxe Room
单人房 Single Room 双人知房 Double Room 三人房 Triple Room
商务房道Business Room 市景房 City-view Room 特价房 Special Promotion......
5.overbook 超过既定预约人数
Overbook的本意是：超额预订、超额订票。放在航空旅行的语境中，就是指：乘客预订的机票数量超出了飞机上的座位数量。你可能会问：航班本来只有200个座位，为何要卖出210张票呢？这是航空公司出于经济效益的考虑而采取的做法，因为一些航班常常会出现有乘客买了票，之后却做了取消，或是因各种原因无法乘机的情况。因此航空公司就多卖出去一些票，既能使座位能坐满，也能增加收益。（有没有感觉涨知识了）
e.g. Having the ability to overbook means that the airlines can keep fares lower.
超额预定机票可以使航空公司将票价定得低些。
