英译 - This circumstance is simply a fact and must be accepted or dealt with as it exists.
中译 - 事已至此，无可奈何；没办法，就是这样。
E.g.

It is what it is是什么意思？
A: I've used this phrase, and for me it generally does mean acceptance of or resignation to, a situation that can't be changed. I usually use it regarding a bad, uncomfortable or unpleasant situation. It would be a situation that I can't explain why it happened, or I can't explain what good could come from it.
我用过这个短语，一般是接受、妥协、顺从的意思，因为没有办法改变局面。我通常用在不好，令人不舒服，不高兴的事情上。可以是当我没法解释事情为什么发生，或者我无法解释一件事有什么好处。（这个时候，我就会无奈地说:"it is what it is." “木有毛办法。”）
