一个仿佛来自外太空的声音，
微弱，带着日本腔（或是
盘子式飞碟的驾驶员，在敏锐眼光
与食指着陆点之上划出

优雅如尿流一般的弧线）
只用它一瓦的小喇叭对我讲话
（一群轻快小年轻中的蹒跚家伙），
坚定地命令：“带我去见你的读者。”

|我的缪斯。我无论何处都认得。讲真
我虽非鲍勃·迪伦，但也有不止
一个喜欢我所作所为的电风扇：
给我编的词语加上点旋转，

又扔出它们飞越桦树林
在比赛中击败本地鸟儿们
起飞，滑翔到树梢上栖息，
甚至可能落到声名鼎盛的鸽棚。

它们是我选中的信使，送往
猎户座与大熊座苍茫的黑森林，
后世对过去的无力回响，
商业载荷升入光晕围绕的空中。

1.本是标题原文为Envoi源于法语，在法语中意为“送别”或“使者”，在诗歌传统中常指作品结尾时作为跋诗的短诗，寄托作者对读者或后世的期望，或总结前面的内容，或作结尾的献词。
2.电风扇（electric fan），在本诗中作者用了双关，也可指粉丝或崇拜者。
3.旋转（English），诗中English既指语言，也指台球术语，即打台球时给球加旋转。

诗人简介：安东尼·赫克特（Anthony Evan Hecht，1923 年 1 月 16 日 - 2004 年 10 月 20 日）赫克特的诗集《艰难时刻》于 1968 年获得普利策诗歌奖。 1982 年至 1984 年，他曾担任美国诗歌顾问（1985年之前美国桂冠诗人这一称号的前身）。1967 年至 1985 年，他在罗彻斯特大学任教。

Envoi

A voice that seems to come from outer space,
Small, Japanese (perhaps the pilot of
One of these frisbee saucer flights that trace
Piss-elegant trajectories above

Sharp eyes and index-finger landing pads)
Speaks to me only with its one-watt tweeter
(A dodderer among these dancy lads)
And firmly orders: "Take me to your reader."

My Muse. I'd know her anywhere. It's true
I'm no Bob Dylan, but I've more than one
Electric fan who likes the things I do:
Putting some English on the words I've spun

And sent careening over stands of birch
To beat the local birds at their own game
Of taking off and coasting in to perch,
Even, perhaps, in pigeon-cotes of fame.

They are my chosen envoys to the vast
Black Forests of Orion and The Bear,
Posterity's faint echo of its past,
And payload lifted into haloed air.
