Iconic & Ironic

I make an illusory sight with videos downloaded
from Youtube, the most iconic and ironic
moment on my L-shaped desk.

By mask, we are bound, but undoing binds we need,
removing it we need.
How will the pandemic end?

Pedestrians with masks ignoring 2nd day
of 7th month of lunar calendar, ignoring sidewalk
lined thick with soapberry trees.

In another word, in another city, beloved
the only thing that matters, we're both
anxious, need so much to get by.

The neon sign is so busy being brightly lit.
It has gotten to that point, good and inviting,
turned needable and available.
