Dragon Boat Day, a Poem to Xi and Cun

I was going to join you for a chilled out with pleasure boat，

But my foot sickness hampered your kindness and delayed route.

I heard it said there's a surge of crowds in Eastern Gate,

sounds of boats and crocodile hide drums were incessant.

端午日寄息存二兄

【清】彭端淑

拟同江上泛舟行，

病足愆期曷胜情。

见说东关人似簇，

画船鼍鼓鬭喧轰。

注：
1、彭端淑（1699－1779），字仪一，号乐斋，眉州丹棱（今四川丹棱县人），他与李调元、张问陶一起被后人并称为“清代四川三才子”。雍正十一年进士，授吏部主事；乾隆十九年出任广东肇罗道道台。他晚年曾在成都锦江书院讲学。
2、鬭其异体字为鬥（简化字斗），鬥专指斗争，而鬭为斗殴、械斗，后鬭泛用为鬥，汉字简化后全部用斗。
3、鼍读音为tuó，是指猪婆龙（扬子鳄）
4、据李朝正、徐墩忠注本《彭端淑诗文注》，此诗写于乾隆四十四年（1779年）端午日，距今240年矣。
